Unfortunately, more and more of them are ineffective because the bacteria develop resistance to the drugs. The problem is not the drugs, but the excessive use of antibiotics and a lack of hygiene in the home.

Hands are most often contaminated with bacteria, as they not only touch surfaces but also food. Meat products, for example, often contain microorganisms that have become resistant as a result of antibiotics being fed to slaughtered animals. When preparing food, it is therefore essential to wash your hands thoroughly before and after touching the food.

Food should not be cut on plastic boards, as this is where germs survive. Wooden boards have antibacterial properties and are therefore much better suited to the hygienic preparation of food.

Dishwashing sponges and cloths should be replaced at least twice a week, as a particularly large number of germs accumulate on them.

Wipe and dry the sink and worktop thoroughly after cooking. Do not use harsh cleaning agents for cleaning, as they contaminate the water and destroy the beneficial bacteria. Biodegradable agents are perfectly adequate.

Clothes are hygienically perfect when washed at 30 to 40 degrees, even without a hygiene rinse aid. If the laundry is also dried in the tumble dryer, there is no risk of germs. There is also not a single known case of illness caused by infected clothing.

There are surprisingly few bacteria in the bathroom, as the thighs and buttocks are much less contaminated with bacteria than the hands. The buttocks and thighs are protected under clothing and only touch a few surfaces.

One of the main reasons for the development of resistance to antibiotics is the excessive use of antibiotic medication. Antibiotics are often prescribed for middle ear infections or coughs, even though viruses, not bacteria, are the cause. This is not always just the fault of doctors, as patients often persuade doctors to prescribe antibiotics because they believe that every infection needs to be treated with antibiotics.
Alternatively, you should go back to natural remedies, because plants have had to defend themselves against bacteria for millions of years and are constantly adapting. This prevents resistance from developing.

Since the development of penicillin, numerous antibiotics have been produced.
