The distinction between symptom and syndrome is quite simple:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A symptom is a sign of illness that occurs during a disease. There are subjective and objective symptoms. They subjective symptoms are those that the patient recognises himself, while the objective symptoms are determined by the doctor. The overall picture of the symptoms leads to a diagnosis of the disease. Some diseases show hardly any or no subjective symptoms, i.e. only the doctor can determine them. With other diseases, on the other hand, the doctor depends exclusively on the description of the patient's subjective symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>Syndromes refer to a group of certain symptoms that occur together in certain diseases (symptom complex).
