Empty out gutters and drainage grates frequently so that no standing water accumulates there. Water that stands for several days in warm weather is an ideal nesting site for mosquito larvae. Fish ponds or swimming pools and paddling pools therefore become breeding grounds if they are not maintained regularly. Either empty paddling pools frequently or treat them with chlorine.
