The suits are of equal value, there is no trump suit. The dealer plays the first card, the other players deal a card of the same colour in turn without cutting the first card. If you do not have a matching colour, you can discard any card. The aim of the game is to take the last trick, so the highest card is kept until the end. During the game, you try to keep track of which cards have been played. It makes sense to keep a card of a colour that is otherwise already out of play, as well as a card of another colour that is as high as possible until the last hand.
