LED lights are mostly used on digital watches, electronic device displays or as light sources for lamps. LEDs are made from crystals that contain phosphorus, among other things, to produce different coloured lights. This can lead to severe headaches and nausea. In addition, intense blue light can cause permanent photochemical damage to the eye.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Various substances in the eye such as xanthophyll, catalase and melanin largely protect the eye from damage caused by blue light. With increasing age, the lens of the eye takes on a yellowish tinge, which also counteracts the damaging effect of blue light. However, it still makes sense to protect the eye from strong exposure to intense blue light such as LEDs.<\/p>\n<p>Permanent eye damage can be caused by prolonged staring at bright LED lights.
