When bathing, first fill the bathtub with cold water, then the hot water.<\/span>s. Before getting into the bath, check the water with your elbow. The hands are less sensitive to temperature and can find water that is too hot pleasant.<\/p>\n

Do not hold a child in your arms when holding a hot drink or liquid. Also, do not leave containers with hot liquid within reach at the edge of the table.<\/p>\n

When cooking, turn the pot handles backwards so that children can't reach them or so that no one can get their clothes caught on them.<\/p>\n

Light bulbs can become very hot when they burn. Never touch a burning bulb with bare fingers and make sure that none are within reach of children's hands.<\/p>\n

Keep children out of reach of radiators.<\/p>\n

Keep matches and lighters out of the reach of children, preferably out of sight.<\/p>\n

Teach children that lighters and matches are not toys.<\/p>\n
