Antique-looking paper can create a special effect for collages, invitations or other craft items. There are many ways to make paper look old, here is one of the simplest and most effective techniques:<\/p>\n

You need a high-quality paper for the antique look of the paper, which should already be printed before you colour it. For an additional effect, you can crumple the paper before colouring it and smooth it out again. For the colouring agent, stir 2 tablespoons of instant coffee powder into half a cup of hot water and leave to cool for a minute.<\/p>\n

Fold a large piece of baking paper in half and insert the sheet of paper. Pour some of the coffee solution over the paper and spread with a sponge. For a speckled effect, sprinkle over a few coffee crumbs and wait for them to dissolve. Dab off the excess coffee with kitchen paper. To dry, you can place the baking paper with the paper in the centre in the preheated oven until the corners curl up slightly as a sign that it is dry. Instead of the oven, you can place the paper between a few layers of kitchen paper and weigh it down with a heavy object and leave it to dry overnight.<\/p>\n
