A salt cloth is often used for scrofula, measles, scarlet fever and to stimulate skin symptoms and drain internal organs. To do this, 125g of salt is dissolved in 5 litres of water, the linen cloth is dipped into it, wrung out and placed on the affected area. The compress is wrapped tightly with an intermediate cloth and woollen cloth and left on for 45 to 60 minutes. After unwrapping, rub with a damp cloth and wrap in dry blankets. To do this, 3 double handfuls of hay flowers are steeped in 5 litres of hot water. Dip the linen cloth into the brew, wring it out and put it on. The hay flower poultice is left on for 60 minutes.

A cold clay poultice is used for skin diseases and metabolic disorders. Mix 2-3 litres of clay powder with 3-5 litres of water to make a viscous broth.
