Humans need about 12mg of vitamin E per day. It is responsible for the formation of defence cells, energy metabolism, tissue growth and the formation of red blood cells.<\/p>\n<p>Babies need a particularly high amount of vitamin E. Breast milk therefore contains four times as much as cow's milk.<\/p>\n<p>Vitamin E is particularly rich in plant foods such as wheat germ oil, nuts, wholemeal products, black salsify, peas and pistachios.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>High doses of vitamin E are used to treat the following diseases.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arteriosclerosis<\/strong>. Tokopherol serves to liquefy the blood and protects the vascular walls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rheumatism<\/strong>. Vitamin E has an anti-inflammatory effect in rheumatic diseases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PMS<\/strong>. Vitamin E alleviates the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Age spots<\/strong>. Vitamin E and C are used to improve pigmentation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Problematic skin<\/strong>.
