The main points of body language are the hips, eyes and skin. In order to interpret body language correctly, you need a good eye for detail and a keen perception.

Here is a brief outline of the most important body language signals.

Eyes
Interpreting the eyes is not only useful in business negotiations or when dating, but is also very helpful when dealing with children.
If the gaze wanders downwards, this is a sign of emotion. The other person will react positively to emotional words. Understanding is called for, just no phrases like: 'Get over it, it's not that bad'.
Straight upward gaze radiates authority. The eyes move from side to side, i.e. the person knows what they want.

Hips
If the hips roll forwards, the shoulders automatically move backwards and the chest moves out. However, if the hips roll backwards, the shoulders tend to droop and the chest sinks in. This observation is often important for employers when they want to assess the work attitude of a potential candidate.
Hips that are rolled forwards signalise self-confidence. For example, if the employer asks about professional experience in certain areas and the hips are pulled back, this is a clear sign of a lack of self-confidence in relation to the subject.
The hip posture can tell you what abilities the person actually possesses if you observe them carefully.

Skin
The skin symbolises physical and psychological boundaries. When boundaries are crossed, people tend to touch or scratch their skin.
Scratching the ears is often a sign that the person does not agree with what they are hearing.
Scratching or touching the arms means that the person is not emotionally in tune with the situation.
Scratching or touching the mouth and nose means that the person does not agree with what is being said, either by themselves or by the other person.

Important:
While you are trying to understand the body language of the people around you, pay attention to your own.
In addition to body language, words also play a role, of course. The way you say something also expresses what the person is thinking or feeling.
This article should not be seen as an aid to manipulation. Do not use body language to play a role that you cannot later maintain.

Die Worte kommen aus dem Mund, doch der Körper spricht mit.Die Körpersprache seine Mitmenschen lesen zu können kann Zeit und Energie sparen und Peinlichkeiten vermeiden.
