The golden Buddha Mountain (Khao Cheejan) is located about 15 kilometres south of Pattaya. Drive down Sukhumvit Road and turn left just before the entrance to the Tropical Garden (Nong Nooch).
A laser-cut golden Buddha covers most of the mountain. The image is 130 metres high and 70 metres wide, making it one of the largest Buddha images in the world. You can see this unique Pattaya monument from afar.
Even those who are not interested in Buddha and Buddha images will feel the enchantment of the atmosphere in the beautiful hilly landscape, making Khao Cheejan a good destination for a half-day tour. It is best to hire a scooter or motorbike and explore the landscape.
Meditation courses are held daily from 6 am to 6 pm. The spiritual aspects of Buddhism are explored here.

Just a few kilometres from Buddha Mountain is the Wat Yansangwararam temple complex, whose diverse architecture is certainly worth a visit.
