The strong black and white contrast in this optical illusion tempts the eye to focus either only on the dark or only on the light part.


If you look at the white part, you can see a vase. The black part shows two faces facing each other. It is interesting that the eye can only see one of them at a time, so you can alternate from vase to face, but not see both at the same time.
