Self-confidence, but also the lack of it and shyness is often interpreted as arrogance. Posture and movements cause misinterpretation. Arrogance is not very pleasant, so if you don't want to be thought of as arrogant, you should avoid it.
The more arrogant a person is, the less they respect the feelings and thoughts of others and become self-centred. This in turn causes people to turn away from you and you become increasingly unpopular. The typical characteristics of an arrogant person are conceitedness, pomposity, arrogance and false pride.
So if you don't want others to find you arrogant, you have to show them respect. Be polite and take an interest in them. This will make them realise that you are not only concerned with yourself.
Be friendly when you greet them and don't be afraid to be courteous.
Give compliments. This is how you show appreciation for the successes of others. However, compliments should be sincere. Superficial compliments can have the opposite effect.
Don't just talk about yourself, but let others tell their stories too. Ask interested questions. Even if you have the feeling that your things are more important, you should participate in the lives of others. Above all, don't belittle what others want to tell you.
If you make a mistake, admit it. The typical arrogant person denies any mistakes and blames others. Admitting a mistake is a sign of self-confidence and strength.
Everyone wants to be the best, which also means that there is a lot of competition. No matter how good you are, you can't survive the competition without the support of friends and family. And if you don't come out on top, don't begrudge the other person.
