Most people know dreams in the form of images in their heads. But what about people who cannot see, do they see in their dreams?

People who are blind from birth, their subconscious mind has not been exposed to the visual world. Their dreams, like those of any other person, reflect their daily lives. They experience dreams in the form of sounds, smells and feelings.

However, blind people who lost their vision after birth can see images in dreams because their brain knows what it is like to see. Often, however, people do not have pictorial dreams if they lost their vision before the age of 5. Also, pictorial dreams may become fewer and weaker with age and smell, taste and feeling may predominate.

The life of a sighted person is very much influenced by visual impressions, more so than by any other sense. Therefore, it is natural that the memory of a dream remains in the mind mainly through the images. For a blind person, smell, sound, touch and taste play a predominant role. Their dreams therefore revolve around precisely these impressions.
The brain produces the dreams. The impressions and experiences of the brain determine a large part of what occurs in dreams. If everyday life is determined by visual impressions, the dreams reflect this. Conversely, dreams show themselves through the importance of the other senses.
