Before a baby bottle is filled with breast milk or formula, it should be sterilised, even or especially if it is new. Placing the bottles in boiling water for a few minutes is sufficient to sterilise them. The baby bottles can then be stored like other glasses and cups until they are needed.
Before storing the bottle with milk, it should be dried at least one hour in advance, either in the air or with a kitchen towel. The bottles should not be stored upside down so that the neck of the bottle does not rest on the shelf.
The teats should be kept close to the bottle so that they do not get lost. Bottles should not be closed with the teat so that air can get into the bottle.
