Anyone who regularly reads the daily newspaper knows how quickly a pile of old newspapers can pile up. However, old newspapers are not rubbish, as there are many ways to reuse the newsprint.

Possible uses for old newsprint

7. mown grass smells very strong and not everyone likes the odour. If you mix a few strips of newspaper with the grass, the paper will absorb some of the odour. You can put the newspaper in the compost heap with the grass.

8. a pile of old newspapers should always be available in the garage or shed. Whenever you spill oil or other liquids, you can quickly lay some newspaper on top and soak up the liquid.

9 Newspaper is a good fire starter. A few crumpled up balls of paper between the firewood will start the fire quickly, because newspaper burns quickly and with great heat. Several pages of newspaper twisted together to form a tube catch fire quickly and burn longer.
