Wart removal at the doctor's is not particularly pleasant. Before you have your wart cut out, you can at least try the tape method to see if it works for you. After all, removing warts with tape has a success rate of 85%.


How to remove warts with adhesive tape:

A sturdy all-purpose adhesive tape is suitable. The usual adhesive tape is usually grey-silver in colour. Parcel tape is less favourable for this purpose. Apply a large piece of tape to your wart and leave it there for 6 days without removing it in between. After the 6 days, remove the tape and soak the area around the wart in water. The next morning, apply a new piece of tape to the area. This method is continued until the wart has disappeared, but for no longer than two months. Usually, after about two weeks, you will notice that the wart has become whitish in colour and forms a crust. Small parts of the wart begin to fall off.

The adhesive tape method for wart removal is completely harmless and virtually painless, so it is also suitable for children. If the wart is in a less visible place, the tape will hardly be noticed (if necessary, wait until winter so that the wart area is covered by clothing). If the wart has not gone even after two months, you can still go to the doctor and have it cut out.
