There is a rumour circulating that high coffee consumption and drinks containing lemonade increase the risk of developing bowel cancer.
The Harvard School of Public Health in the USA carried out a study to find out what the rumour was all about. Around 730000 people took part in the study. In the end, it was found that even the consumption of one and a half litres of coffee or lemonade is not linked to the risk of bowel cancer.
