Regular coffee drinkers are said to have an increased risk of heart failure. However, there are now analyses that contradict this.
These analyses have now shown that people who drink up to four cups of coffee a day are even less likely to suffer from heart failure.
Heavy drinkers, in turn, i.e. people who drink more than ten cups of coffee a day, definitely show an increased risk of heart disease. Similarly, the number of heart diseases is higher in people who do not drink coffee at all compared to those who consume up to four cups.
To summarise: the healthiest thing for the heart is one to four cups of normal strength coffee a day.
The analysis was published in the journal Circulation/Heart Failure.
