Washing hands correctly and effectively

 Hands

The hands touch a myriad of surfaces and are therefore the part of the body that absorbs the most bacteria and germs. To prevent bacteria from entering the body by touching food, rubbing the eyes or similar, they should be washed regularly. Washing your hands properly is more than just briefly holding them under water. It is an effective way to wash your hands and reduce the spread of germs.

Before washing your hands, remove rings and watches so that they can also be thoroughly cleaned underneath. Germs often accumulate under rings.
Water alone is not enough for washing. You should always use soap and lukewarm water. Your hands should be under the running water for at least 20 seconds.

When washing, do not leave out the back of the hand, the wrists and the spaces between the fingers.

After washing, dry your hands thoroughly with a towel. Hot air blowers should be avoided. Then moisturise your hands if necessary.
