You can lose weight not only by restricting calories. A few simple changes to your daily habits will also help you lose excess weight.
1. less television. The hours you spend in front of the television discourage you from engaging in physical activity. Resist the impulse to switch on the TV and use the time for more meaningful things. You don't even have to do sport, just tidying up your study burns more calories than sitting passively in front of the TV.
2. get enough sleep. It has been proven that people who go to bed before midnight and get a solid 7 or 8 hours of sleep a day gain less weight on average. Lack of sleep doubles the risk of obesity. The less sleep you get, the higher your BMI (body mass index, i.e. body fat) and the more fat is deposited around your waist. This is caused by hormonal changes in the body due to lack of sleep. In addition, the longer you are awake, the more you tend to snack.
3. take a walk before the main meal. A short walk does more than just burn calories. Walking before eating reduces your appetite and you eat less. A 20-minute walk reduces appetite and increases the feeling of fullness.
4. work less overtime. People who work more than nine hours a day tend to be overweight. The more stressful the job, the more likely you are to gain weight.
