The most important things that should be checked regularly on the car are

Windscreen wiper

If the windscreen wipers leave streaks on the windscreen or no longer wipe completely, the wiper blades should be replaced. A clear view is the best prerequisite for road safety.

 

Windscreen wiper fluid

The windscreen wiper fluid is just as important as good wiper blades. Check regularly whether there is still enough fluid in the windscreen wiper system tank. Fill the tank with water and antifreeze so that the fluid does not freeze in winter.

 

Oil

Check the oil level in the engine using the oil dipstick. Pull out the oil dipstick, wipe it off and reinsert it. When you pull it out again, you can read the oil level. If it is below the minimum mark, you should top up the oil immediately. Never wait until the oil light on the dashboard comes on.

 

Tyre pressure

Regularly checking the tyre pressure is not only important for safety, but also saves money, as the vehicle consumes more fuel when the tyre pressure is low. You will find the corresponding tyre pressure value for your vehicle either on the inside of the fuel filler cap, in the frame of the driver's door or in the vehicle handbook.
