Vegetable broth, spice mixes, margarine, wholemeal biscuits, plant-based pastries and plant-based coffee creamer may contain dairy products or animal fats. Ready-made soya products, mayonnaise and biscuits usually contain egg or egg white as well as dairy products. Chocolate contains dairy products.
Jelly babies, jelly fruit and medicine capsules usually contain gelatine, which is made from animal bone meal.
Pesto contains cheese.
Cosmetics and soaps may contain fats and other animal products from carcass processing.
Very small quantities are not subject to declaration. Anyone who has concerns about certain products should ask the manufacturer.
