To keep the skin clear and prevent pimples from growing, the skin must be thoroughly cleansed on a regular basis in addition to eating the right food and living as stress-free a lifestyle as possible.
Wash the skin in the morning and evening with a cleanser with a pH value of 5.5. Then clarify the face with toner. Apply the toner to a cotton pad and wipe the face with it. If you have very oily skin, you can use an alcohol-based toner to disinfect it, but the skin must not be tight afterwards.
Apply a light moisturiser after washing. Moisturisers containing zinc, niacinamide, lactic acid or salicylic acid help to regulate sebum production.
Dead skin cells should be exfoliated once a week to prevent the formation of blackheads. Areas that are already inflamed should not be exfoliated so as not to irritate the skin further.
After exfoliating, apply a mask with healing clay or sage to absorb excess oil, soothe the skin and mattify the complexion.
Tip: Include plenty of soya products, tomatoes, fish and green tea in your diet to improve the appearance of your skin. Reduce white flour products, meat and sweets.
