Skin care
The skin's need for care becomes clear at the latest when we start to have problems with it, namely when the natural balance of moisture and elasticity can no longer be maintained and it begins to tighten, or worse still, to itch or flake.

Most people have also developed a certain skin care ritual, which often includes the use of creams, for example after the daily shower, or the application of masks and treatments, especially on the face.

The majority of people still rely on the cosmetics industry instead of trying to make their own products, or at least trying out certain chemically produced products with a long list of ingredients instead of simpler products that they can make themselves.

So instead of using a rather expensive cream to moisturise the skin after a shower or bath, you can use various oils that also achieve this effect and even help to save time.

Why not get yourself some almond oil, which is available very cheaply in pharmacies or natural product shops. Rub it into your skin while it is still damp and then pat it dry. You will be amazed that your skin will appear velvety soft afterwards, without a greasy oil film having formed.

The oil binds most of the moisture and is absorbed particularly well. Enriched with essential oils, you can also transfer the pleasure from your skin to your senses by adding a few drops of fragrant essence to the oil.

Wrapping the skin in steaming bath towels that have been soaked in a lye solution, which may also contain a few drops of an essential oil of your choice, is also a wonderful way to pamper the skin of the entire body. The towels must be wrung out until they no longer drip.

A blanket can be placed on top of the damp, hot bath towels to keep the heat in a little longer - a treat for body, mind and senses!
