With a vinegar treatment, you can transform an artificial-looking tan from self-tanning lotion into a golden-brown beach tan and improve embarrassing spots caused by uneven application of the cream.
To do this, pour clear vinegar into a bowl and soak a cotton wool ball in the liquid. Thoroughly rub the vinegar-soaked cotton pad onto the unevenly tanned areas or artificial-looking discolouration. The vinegar dissolves excess tanning cream that has not penetrated deep into the skin and is causing the discolouration. A damp piece of gauze is used to remove any discolouration. After removal, the smooth, natural-looking tan is revealed.
The vinegar treatment works even better if you thoroughly remove dead skin cells with a body brush beforehand.
