A dog's holiday

White dwarf snood in the sand

Not only humans, we dogs also like to go on holiday. We rely completely on our pack leader to pack everything we need.

I am a little white dwarf snorter, lively and curious about everything. I've just finished a holiday in Spain. Man - even at the airport it was exciting. I was safely tucked away in my carrier bag and could watch everything. I only had to get out of my bag once more because it needed to be checked. What on earth were they looking for in there? I am house-trained!

Then I was able to get back into my bag, but first I had to play with my mum by holding her fingers with my teeth. But my mum knows all my tricks, which I won't reveal here, so she closed the bag. Then we ended up in the belly of a big bird. It must have been very hungry because it was devouring so many people. Then I learnt that the humans call this bird an aeroplane and were not eaten, but sat down in there.

There were always people walking back and forth, I think they were bringing something to eat. It smelled so good. And they were also very nice to me. One of them brought a piece of meat - just for me! Wow!

At some point we were back on the ground and then we went for a drive. I love travelling by car! But on arrival I met a couple of scary cats. Paw on dog's heart. I showed off like Count Kox, the cats were very peaceful and just watched me. I had to learn that I couldn't just run everywhere because it was a cat zone. I would have liked to play with them too, but I don't know if they know what to do with balls and sticks.

And then there was a huge brown dog that absolutely nothing could upset. I was often allowed to sniff his nose and he picked up bread from his mum and ate grass. Funny dog.

Then I was told that the dog was a horse. Well, I still have a lot to learn.

One day I was with my mistress, a little boy who kept pinching my nose and his mum at a river that had so little water that I could swim there. As a precaution, I was tied to a very long leash. I slid on my stomach through the sand and then into the water. Of course, I had to test how deep it was. The fact that I actually fell into the water will of course remain my dog's secret. Then I got out of the water and through the sand, it was marvellous. I looked like a breaded mop. Nibbling sticks, barking to my heart's content - just great.

I was dry again in the house, but my coat colour had changed a bit. But I think my mum will fix that.

In the evening I was totally exhausted and relived everything in my dog dream.

Soon I'll be going back to my real home, because I have to check that everything is OK there.

However, I will definitely visit the Spanish cats again.

Greetings to all fellow dog lovers
