Every dog rolls around in rotting and smelly rubbish at some point. A smelly dog is really not a nice thing when it wants to cuddle with its owner.

How can you effectively get rid of the odour?

 

Unfortunately, a bath alone is often not enough to cover up the foul odour. Rub a little undiluted tomato juice onto the affected area with a sponge. Leave on for a few minutes until the fruit acid in the tomato juice has neutralised the odour. Make sure that no tomato juice gets into the dog's eyes.

After the application time, shampoo the dog and rinse with lukewarm water.

If the odour is particularly persistent, repeat the process later.
