If you are looking for new friends or potential partners, it is often effective to search in your own community. This includes your immediate surroundings such as your neighbourhood, workplace or existing social circle. There are often already connections and shared interests that make it easier to get to know each other.

One way to socialise in your community is to take part in joint activities or interest groups. Examples include local running groups or team-building events at work. By participating in such activities, you will meet people with similar interests.

Another strategy is to use existing friendships or acquaintances. You can ask friends to introduce you to people in their circle of acquaintances. Alternatively, you can take part in events that your friends invite you to in order to make new contacts.

Searching in your own community is therefore an efficient way to build new relationships and develop potential friendships or partnerships.

Search in your own community

You can look for potential partners in your own community, be it in your neighbourhood, in your circle of friends or in your club.

Try out activities and hobbies

Volunteering

Volunteer to network with like-minded people and meet potential partners.

Get to know each other through mutual friends

Use your mutual friends to get to know new people and meet potential partners.

Try out activities and hobbies

If you are looking for new friends or potential partners, it can be helpful to try out new activities and hobbies. By venturing into new areas of interest, you automatically expand your social circle and have the opportunity to meet people who have similar interests to you. One way to try out new activities and hobbies is by taking part in courses or workshops.

Perhaps you are interested in photography and would like to take part in a photography course. Or maybe you want to learn how to cook and sign up for a cookery course. By taking part in such courses, you have the opportunity to meet people who have similar interests to you and with whom you can exchange ideas.

Another way to try out new activities and hobbies is by joining group activities or clubs. Perhaps there is a walking club in your town that you can join, or a book club group that you can join. By getting involved in such group activities, you will have the opportunity to meet people who have similar interests to you and with whom you can spend time.

Trying out new activities and hobbies can be a good way to make new contacts and find potential friends or partners.

Using online dating platforms

If you are looking for a potential partner, using online dating platforms can be a great way to meet new people. There are many different online dating platforms that allow you to view profiles of other users and get in touch with them. One way to use online dating platforms is by creating your own profile.

You can enter information about yourself, such as your hobbies, interests and what you are looking for in a potential partner. By creating a meaningful profile, you have the opportunity to be found by other users and get in touch with them. Another way to use online dating platforms is by browsing the profiles of other users.

You can search for people who match your criteria and get in touch with them. You may find someone who has similar interests to you or who is looking for a serious relationship. Using online dating platforms can be a good way to meet potential partners and arrange a date with them.

Attend social events and parties

If you are looking for new friends or potential partners, it can be helpful to attend social events and parties. Such events often provide a casual atmosphere where it is easier to meet and socialise with new people. One way to attend social events and parties is by participating in events in your city or community.

Perhaps there are regular concerts or festivals that you can attend. Or maybe there are local bars or clubs that organise regular events. By attending such events, you have the opportunity to meet people who have similar interests to you and with whom you can spend time.

Another way to attend social events and parties is by attending events organised by friends or acquaintances. You may be invited to a birthday party or a barbecue at a friend's house. By accepting such invitations and attending such events, you have the opportunity to meet new people and socialise with them.

Attending social events and parties can be a good way to make new contacts and find potential friends or partners.

Travelling and exploring new places

If you are looking for new friends or potential partners, travelling and exploring new places can be a great way to meet new people. By exploring new places, you automatically expand your social circle and have the opportunity to meet people from different cultures. One way to explore new places is by travelling to other cities or countries.

Perhaps you are planning a holiday in an exotic country or would like to go on a city break. By taking such trips, you have the opportunity to get to know people from different countries and exchange ideas with them. Another way to explore new places is by taking part in organised trips or group excursions.

There may be tour operators that offer group trips or local organisations that organise excursions. By joining such groups and taking part in organised trips, you have the opportunity to meet people who have similar travel interests to you. Travelling and exploring new places can be a great way to make new contacts and find potential friends or partners.

Volunteering

If you are looking for new friends or potential partners, volunteering can be a great way to meet new people. By volunteering, you have the opportunity to meet people who share similar values to you and are committed to similar causes. One way to volunteer is by participating in local non-profit organisations or projects.

Perhaps there is an animal welfare organisation or a soup kitchen in your city where you can volunteer. By joining such organisations and helping out with their projects, you will have the opportunity to meet people who are also committed to social causes. Another way to volunteer is by participating in international aid projects or volunteer programmes abroad.

Perhaps you are interested in international development aid or would like to take part in a humanitarian mission abroad. By joining such projects and working as a volunteer, you have the opportunity to get to know people from different countries and exchange ideas with them. Volunteering can be a great way to make new contacts and find potential friends or partners.

Get to know each other through mutual friends

If you are looking for new friends or potential partners, it can be helpful to meet new people through mutual friends. Friends often have existing connections and can help you make new contacts. One way to meet new people through mutual friends is by participating in joint activities or meetings.

Perhaps a friend is organising a games evening or a barbecue and invites you along. By accepting such invitations and taking part in joint activities, you have the opportunity to meet new people and socialise with them. Another way to meet new people through mutual friends is through direct introductions or recommendations from friends.

Maybe a friend has mentioned someone in their social circle and suggested that you should get to know each other. Or perhaps a friend has suggested that you should attend an event together. By following such recommendations and meeting up with the people introduced, you have the opportunity to make new contacts and find potential friends or partners.

Overall, there are many different ways to meet new people and find potential friends or partners. By looking around your own community, trying out new activities, using online dating platforms, attending social events, travelling and exploring new places, volunteering and meeting new people through mutual friends, you have the chance to make new contacts in a variety of ways. It's important to be open to new experiences and actively seek out new acquaintances.

With a little patience and openness, you're sure to soon make new friends and maybe even meet the right partner.

How much time should a couple spend together?

It is natural to spend as much time as possible with the person you are in love with. But what is a healthy balance in this? Because as much as you may like your partner, every person should also take care of their other relationships in life. What is the healthy balance in a love relationship, how much time should a couple spend together and when is it clinging? How much time should a couple spend together?

When do you get too attached to your partner?

Of course, in a relationship you strive to spend time with your partner, especially time alone. After all, this is the basis of love. You crave every opportunity for togetherness and miss the other person in their absence. This time together is healthy and necessary to cultivate a relationship and begin to connect two lives together.
In reality, however, there are limits. From work commitments to business trips, one partner's professional goals and ambitions can put a strain on a relationship when the other partner expects total commitment.

Don't forget your family

Couples also need to make time for friends and family, because they don't want to suddenly take a back seat just because you're in a new relationship. If you make the mistake of neglecting your friends for your partner, they will quickly look for new interests. If friends or family complain that they hardly get to see you anymore, it's time to rethink the situation. You need to find a healthy balance between harmonising your partner, friends and family.

Making time for yourself is also important

Everyone needs the opportunity to spend time alone. Being alone is just as important as the need for company. Sometimes you simply need the opportunity to let go completely and be yourself without paying attention to anyone else. Then you have time to organise your thoughts and feelings and plan your days without having to pay particular attention to your appearance or behaviour.

The goal, of course, is to find a balance in which both members of the relationship are satisfied with the time they spend together. Both must equally maintain their friendships and family relationships, progress in their career goals and nurture the partnership.

How to find the happy medium in a relationship

Recognising individual differences between the two partners. Everyone has different needs. Some feel that they should spend more time with their partner than others. Observations in partnerships have shown that insecure people often crave extra time with their partner for fear of losing them, while others value their independence more. Don't expect your partner to have the same needs as you.

Communication is the key. The best way to find out each other's needs is to have an honest conversation. Whether someone wants to spend more or less time with their partner also has nothing to do with the intensity of their love. If both partners in the relationship are open with each other, they can always adapt to each other better so that it works well for both of them.

Listen to your friends. Friends are not only an emotional support, their opinions about your relationship predict your relationship success. Friends can often see more from the outside than the people in the relationship themselves. Find a way to stay just as close with your friends when you start a new relationship. Integrate your new partner into your friend group. This is a good way to stay connected with your friends while giving your relationship a new context.

Keep specific and regular dates free to spend time alone with your partner. If work and other commitments take up too much time, find ways to prioritise your relationship. Give your partner honest information about how much time your job can take up.

A relationship is not a constant flow, but an up and down. There are always external factors that influence the dynamics of the partnership. Therefore, the time that one of the two needs from the other must be constantly adjusted. For example, if someone falls ill, it is natural that the sick person will need more attention and time, whether inside or outside the relationship. Despite everything, the partner should always retain the feeling of being at the centre of the other person, even if you spend less time together.

A relationship between two people is made up of dreams and values. Problems with each other do not automatically mean that you should end the relationship, rather it is about understanding the dynamics of love better in order to find the best way forward for yourself.

Basically, it is said that after a major breach of trust, a relationship is over. However, it is not so easy to say in individual cases. As a third person, it is easy to say: "I wouldn't put up with that", but those who are in the situation themselves often react less rationally. If you find out that your partner has cheated on you, your first reaction is shock. In shock, one tries to deny the truth of the situation. When a previously respected and loved partner to whom one has devoted one's life suddenly turns out to be someone else than one thought, everyone must first learn to deal with themselves and the new situation. This is not only about infidelities; criminal behaviour or an addiction are also reasons to rethink a relationship and to examine its value.

Insight into the lives of other couples is limited. We know little about the feelings and thoughts of both partners in problematic phases, so we cannot take them as models for our own situation. There are always reasons to stay together despite a breach of trust. The obvious reasons are having a child together, religious conviction, financial situations or the opinion of the family. In reality, however, it is often their own inability to face the consequences of a drastic decision.

There is no such thing as a perfect relationship. The best relationships have normal flaws, but none that hurt the self-esteem of either partner. Maintaining a seemingly perfect relationship is certainly no reason to stay together despite a breach of trust. In a healthy relationship, no one needs to deceive the other, lie to themselves or give up their values.

Unfortunately, there are many relationships that are actually over, but neither partner finds the courage to end the relationship. After the long-term security of a relationship, one feels fear of being alone and shame from the failure. If there are children in the relationship, there are also feelings of guilt about exposing them to the trauma of the break-up. In a failed relationship, however, living in a home without honest affection and trust can be worse for all involved in the long run.

After a breach of trust, there are only two ways to move forward. One is to leave the partner with all the consequences that go with it, try to get over it and start a new life. The other option is to maintain the relationship. The second, however, only makes sense if the partner convincingly demonstrates that he or she recognises his or her mistakes and changes. Promises are not enough for this, however; he must show it through deeds and feelings. As long as there is still a sense of mutual trust, it is worth giving the partner another chance.

You can tell that the partner is serious about wanting to change by, for example, seeking professional help, being open and honest and showing the partner that they are focused on maintaining the relationship. Violated trust can be gradually rebuilt through open discussions and agreements. However, the guilty partner must be aware that the next misstep is the end of the relationship.

After a gross breach of trust, for example through an affair, the guilty party must be able to live with the fact that the partner will show a certain degree of mistrust until the end of the relationship. Despite all the effort and goodwill, it often unfortunately turns out that the guilty partner cannot cope with the hurt feelings, mistrust and bitterness of the other person and sooner or later the relationship ends after all.

In some cases, after reconciliation, the relationship can still grow and become better than before, as long as both partners are honest and discuss their problems and feelings with each other. When deciding whether or not the relationship has a future, the partner who has doubts needs to analyse their own desires and feelings carefully and be sure that they remain emotionally healthy. If one feels that one's mental health is suffering from the relationship under the given circumstances, one should take the step forward and break up to start a new life.

A good friendship can fall apart when love gets in the way, especially if the love is one-sided. The situation when a good friend falls in love with you, but you don't reciprocate the feelings, must be handled with care. Either the friendship will develop into something more between you or you should at least be able to remain good friends.

How should you deal with it if you return the feelings

If you realise that your best friend has fallen in love with you, talk to them openly and honestly about the change in your feelings. Let the other person know that you feel the same way.

Even if you've been friends for years, you shouldn't rush things. The step from a good friendship to a relationship is very important, because a lot will change for you. Talk together about how far you want to go.

Spend more time together without having other friends around. You need the opportunity to get to know each other under the new aspects and see each other in a new light.

Even if you both feel the same way and have been best friends for years, this is no guarantee that it will work out as a romantic relationship. In order not to lose your good friendship, you should promise each other that you will remain friends if the relationship fails. Since you were close as friends, it would be a shame to lose that. Even if it's difficult, it's worth the effort if you value your friendship.

How should you deal with it if you don't reciprocate the feelings

If you realise that your boyfriend or girlfriend has fallen in love with you, be open and honest and tell him/her that you feel this way. If you are not open, you will give the other person unnecessary hope and hurt them. This could ruin your good friendship forever.

It's best not to see each other for a few weeks so that your feelings can calm down a little. Your boyfriend or girlfriend can use this time to realise his or her feelings and how valuable it is to have you as a friend, even if he or she is looking for a deeper relationship.

Until your feelings are under control, you should not meet alone. Togetherness only leads to further confusion of feelings.

You should deliberately keep your conversations platonic. Avoid topics that have to do with romance and love, otherwise you will hurt your boyfriend's feelings.

In any case, try to maintain your friendship. Help your friend to get a grip on their feelings without giving them false hope. If your friend wants to talk about love, remind him/her that you don't feel that way, but at the same time emphasise how important your friendship is to you.

A friendship is a good foundation for a romantic relationship. Often a friendship develops into more than "just friends" and a deeper romantic relationship begins. The difficulty can lie in recognising the signs, namely when you have romantic feelings for each other that are beyond friendship.

The signs are different in every friendship. Only attentive observation of the dynamics within the friendship can provide clues as to whether it will develop into something more.

Realise how you feel about your boyfriend. How do you feel when you are together? Do you feel the same way when you are with other friends, or is there a physical attraction that goes beyond a platonic friendship?

An almost certain sign that your feelings have become more romantic is when you become jealous. Or you constantly think about your boyfriend or girlfriend when you're not together and you can't wait for your next date. In any case, before you talk to your friend about it, you first need to be clear about your own feelings.

Observe what others around you think of you. You often overlook the signs because you are affected yourself and many things become clearer through the eyes of those around you. Friends around you usually see the romantic development earlier than the couple themselves. To find out more about what others think of the two of you, you can observe their comments and reactions when they see you.

If you know that your feelings go beyond those of a platonic friendship, you should talk openly and honestly with your boyfriend or girlfriend about it. The feeling is not always mutual, but sexual attraction often develops between the two of you. A strong romantic attraction often arises when both have strong feelings for each other and the spark is ignited.

If you and your boyfriend both feel similarly, you should go on a romantic date and test the relationship. But let the relationship develop slowly and naturally: If there really are genuine feelings of love between you, the relationship will grow all by itself.

However, if your friend doesn't feel the same way as you do, you have to respect that. To maintain your good friendship, you need to back off until you have your feelings under control. If you try to "get" your friend, you will lose him.

It is said that you get to know a new partner or a potential candidate better when you do something together. Few activities together reveal more about the other partner than cooking and preparing a meal together.

Preparing a meal is an experience that reveals many character traits and habits, from creativity and generosity to a need for control and neatness. Anyone who wants to put a fresh relationship to a serious test should try it.

Which character traits are tested?

Flexibility, generosity and fairness

Cooking shows how adaptable a partner is, namely not only in terms of ingredients, but also towards the other. A relationship doesn't work if one partner has to have his or her way; both must be able to decide equally. This already starts with the choice of the dish and the joint shopping for the ingredients. A good partnership is based on each recognising the strengths and weaknesses of the other and respecting them. Cooking reveals a lack of respect when one partner discusses insignificant details.
Flexibility is already evident when shopping, when certain ingredients are not available. A resourceful and adaptable cook improvises. Someone who sees changing an ingredient as a hindrance will also get in the way of more important issues in common life.

What shopping together also wonderfully reveals is the question of sharing the costs and the work. Alarm bells should ring when one partner meticulously records the cost of every ingredient down to the penny or leaves dirty dishes in the sink after cooking so the other can wash them. A good partnership also includes working on less exhilarating tasks, it can even be really fun.

Cleanliness, organisation and order

Lack of order and cleanliness is a major topic of contention in a relationship, especially if one partner is a neat freak and the other a slob. The ideal, of course, lies somewhere in between. Depending on whose kitchen is being cooked in, its rules apply, which the other should follow and respect. On the other hand, the host should have some flexibility and understanding if the partner does things differently.

Creativity, sensuality and spontaneity

Lack of creativity is shown by the fact that someone follows instructions to the letter. That in itself is not a fault, but it can show whether both partners are compatible with each other.
How much spice the other is willing to use shows his vein for the sensual. It also shows whether he takes the other person's personal taste into account or only considers his own preferences. There are people who see a connection between the generous use of spices and talent in lovemaking. According to this, a meal with extravagant spices reveals a spicy pleasure in bed.

For the partner who sees a recipe merely as inspiration, spontaneity is important, while the one who improvises little or not at all wants to plan everything long in advance. There is no wrong or right, but again it's all about compatibility.

Friendliness and humour

Anyone with previous relationships brings legacy issues with them into the new partnership. It is fundamentally important to get to know your partner's quirks and find out whether you can combine them with your own. You can't make a decision for life after just one cooking session together, but you do get to know important sides of your partner. Humorous sayings are good icebreakers. A partner with a sense of humour will be able to heal old wounds and build a foundation for a good relationship.

Especially when the recipe fails, it shows how humorous the partner is. However, levity can also go too far, especially when it comes to the other person's wishes. A small lapse can happen to anyone who is not familiar with the other person's cooking, but repeated missteps dismissed with light-hearted jokes show a lack of respect and listening.

Many important things are learnt too late in life. So when it comes to relationships, we should take seriously the advice of older people who have been happily married all their lives. What do older married couples say about the key to a lifelong, happy relationship?

It can be summarised in one word: Friendship. A partnership is more likely to lead to a happy life together if both partners have similar interests, values and goals.
A romantic relationship begins with romance and physical attraction to each other. Although these are important in bringing two people closer together, they are not the sole basis for a life together. What keeps two people together in love is friendship, the ability to communicate with each other, the willingness to give and take and respect for the other person.

A good partnership does not work without communication. Partners should be able to talk to each other and express their feelings and thoughts to each other. A lack of communication leads to dishonesty, misunderstanding and the faking of false feelings.

Especially when women enter the menopause, they ask themselves how long it will be necessary to use contraception.

From the age of 40, a woman's fertility decreases considerably, but she can still become pregnant. A woman should always use contraception as long as she is still menstruating. However, women over 40 should be careful with oestrogen-containing contraceptives, as these can increase the risk of thrombosis. This is particularly true for women who smoke, have high blood pressure or are overweight. Contraceptives containing progestogen, an implant, an IUD or condoms are more suitable.

Hormone replacement products often help with the symptoms of the menopause, but they do not offer any reliable protection against an unwanted pregnancy.

From the age of 50, if a woman still has monthly periods, she should switch to hormone-free contraceptives.

A romantic date doesn't have to be expensive. Women like to be invited to a restaurant or the cinema, but if you can't afford it, you can impress your loved one without spending any money.

If it's not raining, invite her for a walk in the city park, including feeding the ducks. This will show her your romantic streak and love of nature. Most women like it when a man shows an interest in animals and nature. Feeding ducks in the park brings out the child in a man and is fun for both of you.
Don't forget to bring breadcrumbs on the date. If you want it to look like a spontaneous idea, take her with you to the bread shop.

Important: Do not overfeed to avoid contaminating the water.

If it rains, it's time for something indoors, of course. If you don't know each other yet, don't invite them home to watch a film. On rainy days, you can have fun finding bargains in department stores. Work your way through the rummage baskets and show each other what you've found. You don't even have to buy anything, it's often more fun to just touch useless stuff.

A relationship that is meant to last must be nurtured. This is not about showering your partner with expensive gifts, but about small things in everyday life that show respect, attention and esteem for your partner.

In this way, you show your loved one how much you like him or her and make a good and long-lasting romantic relationship possible.

1. your partner needs praise for small, everyday things that are unfortunately too often taken for granted. Everyone has special qualities that make them particularly attractive to their partner. In everyday life together, it is often small, seemingly insignificant things that you appreciate about your partner. Maybe it's the way your partner makes breakfast or the way he/she looks after the children, but everyone needs praise and recognition, especially in a partnership. Praise and appreciation bring out the love and care for each other.

2. think about your partner, even when you are not with him or her. On the way home from work or while shopping, show your partner your attention and bring him or her his or her favourite pudding or another small gift. Help your partner with his or her daily chores from time to time. The more you show your loved one that you are thinking of them, the more your partner will give back to you in return.

3. keep your promises. A broken promise undermines trust in a relationship, and love and caring are built on mutual trust. If you are not sure that you can keep a promise, it is better to say so openly, because nothing is worse in a relationship than when a partner breaks a promise and thus shows that their word is not worth much.

4. take part in your partner's hobbies. This doesn't mean that you have to follow him or her everywhere, but rather that you show understanding and respect for your partner's passions. Show interest in the things that the other person particularly likes. Take it in turns to accompany each other to an event that the other has chosen. The main thing is to learn to understand your partner's interests through personal involvement. This will also give you something to talk about together.

5 Even or especially in a long-term relationship, there should be no lack of romance. Surprise your partner occasionally with a candlelit dinner or a moonlit walk.

6. remember the time when you were newly in love! Back then, you probably sometimes did something special to win the other person's heart. That calls for repetition. Send your partner unexpected flowers or leave a sexy message on their mobile phone. Plan a date together or prepare a feast just for you; in short: behave like you did on your honeymoon and never take your partner for granted.

7. don't just talk to your partner about things from everyday life, but discuss significant events or the meaning of life together. Make your conversations profound.
